The Meditteranean Diet and Olive Oil Health Benefits

The meditteranean diet is characterised by lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, with low meat consumption and minimal alcohol. Food is mostly caught and produced locally and consumed in a social context. The main fat is Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) and this is the source of a lot of the benefits that come with this way of eating.1.0
