Tasty Apple Slices With Cinnamon - Super Easy
Update 4/10/25
There are two types of cinnamon, Cassia cinnamon and Ceylon cinnamon. Most store bought cinnamon is likely to be Cassia cinnamon as it is sweeter. Whilst cinnamon overall can contribute to healthy outcomes as noted below, Cassia cinnamon contains a compound called Coumarin. In large amounts Coumarin is thought to be damaging to the liver. [3] So if consuming Cassia cinnamon you should consume no more than 1/3 tsp per day to keep within safe levels of Coumarin, if consuming Ceylon cinnamon it has much lower levels of Coumarin and so you don’t really need to worry as you would have to consume more than 9 tsp of Cassia cinnamon per day to reach those high levels of Coumarin where it becomes a risk.
This is a new spin on a healthy and tasty snack.
